Community and Partnerships
At Wistanstow, we believe that strong community links are central to providing a well-rounded education for our pupils. We are pleased to have developed close relationships with local groups and organisations that enrich our school life. One of our valued partners is Wistanstow – Under- Fives (link to Wistanstow Under Fives page), a local nursery that shares our facilities. We enjoy a close relationship with the nursery sharing resources and participating in activities together.
We are also grateful for the many local volunteers who have generously given their time to support our school over the years. Their contributions have had a significant impact on our pupils’ experiences, and we appreciate their dedication and commitment to our school community.
As a member of The Edge Schools’ Federation (link to federation home page), we benefit from a range of opportunities for collaboration and enrichment. Our pupils enjoy participating in joint trips and residentials, sports competitions, author visits, creative workshops and other activities that broaden their horizons and help them develop new skills.
By building strong relationships with local organisations and within the Federation, we aim to create a network of support and opportunities that benefit our pupils and the wider community. We believe that these partnerships are vital to providing a rich and engaging education that prepares our pupils for life beyond our school.
